Tri-Township Park is Troy's big community park off Wickliffe Street, named for the three townships that share it, and it sits near the heart of a town that's grown a lot over the last couple of decades. Troy sits right where I-55 and I-70 split, and that access has filled in subdivision after subdivision around the older village core. Older bases near the village center. Closer to the park and the original town, driveways have been through decades of Illinois winters on bases built to older standards. Pouring new concrete over a tired base just repeats the problem. We tear out, regrade, and recompact before anything new goes down.
Clay and freeze-thaw. The native soil around Troy is heavy Madison County clay that swells wet, shrinks dry, and heaves with every freeze-thaw cycle. A stable, well-drained stone base is what keeps the slab from moving with it.
Room to work on newer lots. Most subdivision driveways give us clean access to bring our own trucks and equipment straight in, so we run the job efficiently from prep to pour.

4. Forming and reinforcement. Forms and reinforcement go in, spec'd for the soil and fill conditions on your lot.
5. Pour and finish. We pour, finish, and set the surface texture, timed to the weather.
6. Curing. We tell you exactly how long to stay off it before foot and vehicle traffic.
