Free Concrete Estimate

A free on-site estimate from Custom Concrete & Truck Service means we come out, measure your project, talk through your options, and give you a clear written price before any work begins. No pressure, no guessing.

Getting a concrete price over the phone is a guess. The actual cost depends on square footage, existing conditions, what finish you want, and whether old concrete needs to come out first. A number pulled from thin air doesn't help you plan or budget. A written estimate based on your actual project does.

We offer free on-site estimates across St. Clair, Madison, and Monroe County. We come out, look at what you have, and give you a straight price. That's where every project we do starts.

What a Free Concrete Estimate Actually Covers

An estimate isn't a quick glance and a ballpark. When we come out, we measure the area, look at the base and drainage, and talk through what you're trying to do. If you're replacing a cracked driveway, we check whether the old slab needs full removal or if there's something salvageable. If you're adding a patio, we talk about finish options, like broom, stamped, or exposed aggregate, and what each one costs.

We also look at site-specific factors that affect price. Tight access, a steep slope, or a poorly draining yard all change how a job gets done. We'd rather talk through that upfront than hand you a surprise later.

At the end of the visit, you get a written price. One number, broken down so you know what you're paying for.

We've run our own trucks for 20 years. When we quote a tear-out and replacement, we're quoting it as one job, because we do it with one crew. We don't subcontract the demo to someone else and add a markup. That keeps the price honest and the schedule on track.

When You're Ready to Request an Estimate

Most people contact us when they've reached the point where waiting isn't an option. A few common situations we hear:

The driveway is starting to break apart. Cracks that used to be minor have grown through winter, and now sections are shifting. Water is pooling near the garage. It's past the point of patching.

The patio or walkway is a trip hazard. Heaved sections, uneven edges, or settled slabs are a real liability. A family member or visitor stumbles on it, and the problem you kept putting off becomes something worse.

A new project needs a real price before committing. Maybe it's a stamped patio, a pool deck, or a new driveway on a property you just bought. You have a budget in mind and need an actual number to work from, not a range from a website.

You got a quote that didn't feel right. Either it was too low to be believable, or it didn't explain what was included. A second opinion, from someone who will show up and look at the job, is worth a call.

How the Estimate Process Works

Step 1 - You call or request an estimate. Tell us what you're working on. We'll schedule a time to come out that fits your schedule. We work across the Metro East, so if you're in Belleville, Edwardsville, Waterloo, or anywhere in between, we can get out to you.

Step 2 - We visit the site. We measure the area, look at the existing surface and base, check drainage, and talk through what you want the finished project to look like. If you have questions about materials or finish options, this is the time to ask.

Step 3 - We give you a written price. You get a clear quote before any work is discussed or scheduled. What's included is spelled out. There's no pressure to decide on the spot.

Step 4 - You decide when you're ready. We don't follow up repeatedly or use high-pressure tactics. When you're ready to move forward, you call us and we get it on the schedule.

For jobs that involve tear-out, the quote covers demolition, haul-away, base prep, and the new pour. Because we run our own dump trucks, that's all one job with one crew. We're not calling in a separate company to break up the old concrete.

What Affects the Price

A few factors move the number up or down on any concrete project.

Square footage is the biggest driver. More area means more material and more labor.

Thickness and reinforcement matter on driveways, garage floors, and commercial pads. A 4-inch slab for a patio is different from a 6-inch slab with rebar for a truck-heavy driveway.

Finish type changes cost. Standard broom finish is the baseline. Stamped patterns, exposed aggregate, and colored concrete take more time and material.

Whether old concrete needs to come out. Full tear-out and haul-away adds to the cost, but it's included in our quote as part of the job rather than handed off to another contractor.

Site conditions. Tight access for equipment, soft or poorly drained base material, or significant grading work will affect the price. We'll tell you what we see when we're out there.

If any of these factors push the project outside your budget, we can talk through options. Some projects can be phased.
