Driveways

Custom Concrete & Truck Service installs new concrete driveways, handles full tear-out and replacement, and pours stamped decorative driveways in Freeburg, IL and the surrounding Metro East area. One crew handles the job from base prep to final finish.

Driveways Built for Illinois Weather

A concrete driveway in Freeburg takes a beating. Freeze-thaw cycles crack and heave slabs that weren't built with a properly drained base or the right mix. If your driveway is pitting, cracking, or settling in spots, it's usually not just surface wear. The problem starts underneath.

We've been doing this work for 20 years. We run our own trucks, do our own excavation, and handle the whole job in-house. No markup subcontracting. One crew, start to finish. That matters because when one company controls the base prep, the pour, and the finish, you get a consistent result. When something's off, you have one point of contact to call.

Our Driveway Options

We offer three main driveway services: new driveway installs, full tear-out and replacement for worn-out slabs, and stamped concrete for homeowners who want a more finished look. All three start the same way. We prep the base right, because that's where most driveway failures begin.

New Concrete Driveway - Request Estimate

This is a full installation. We handle base prep, forming, pour, and finish. If you're adding a driveway where there wasn't one before, or building on a new lot, this is the service. We use a broom finish as the standard, which gives you traction and holds up well to Illinois winters without collecting ice.

Base preparation isn't something we cut corners on. The soil around Freeburg and St. Clair County moves with moisture and temperature. A properly drained, compacted base is what keeps the slab from cracking in year three. We set the grade for drainage so water moves away from your garage or home foundation.

Driveway Tear-Out & Replacement - Request Estimate

If your existing driveway is past the point of repair, we pull it out completely and start fresh. We run our own dump trucks, so haul-away is handled by the same crew doing the work. You're not waiting on a separate hauling company to show up.

This is one of the more common jobs we run in older residential areas like the East Side of Freeburg and properties near downtown. A lot of the driveways out there were poured in the 1970s and 1980s. They've done their time. Trying to patch badly cracked or heaved concrete rarely makes financial sense. A full replacement gives you a new base, new concrete, and another 25-30 years if it's built correctly.

We handle the full scope: demo, excavation, base prep, forming, pour, and finish. One crew. One invoice.

Stamped Concrete Driveway - Request Estimate

Stamped concrete gives you the look of brick, stone, or tile in a poured concrete slab. You pick the pattern and color. We do the forming, pour, stamping, and sealing.

It's a good option if you want better curb appeal without the maintenance and cost of pavers. Stamped concrete holds up well in our climate when it's installed and sealed correctly. We also do stamped work on patios and outdoor living areas if you want everything to match. See our Decorative and Patios & Outdoor Living collections for those options.

Custom or Special Orders

Got an irregular lot, a shared driveway situation, or a commercial property that needs a heavy-duty pad instead of a standard residential slab? We handle non-standard jobs. That includes heavier mix designs for work trucks or equipment, curved or shaped driveways, and driveways that tie into other flatwork like sidewalks or aprons.

Contact us to talk through your project. We'll come out, look at the site, and give you a straight estimate. No vague ballpark figures. You'll know what's included before work starts.

Frequently asked questions

A properly installed driveway with a compacted base and the right concrete mix will typically last 25-30 years or more. Illinois freeze-thaw cycles are hard on concrete, but the base prep is what usually makes or breaks the long-term performance. If it settles or cracks early, the base wasn't done right.
