Concrete Patios near Drost Park
Drost Park is the center of outdoor life in Maryville — the lake, the walking trails, the aquatic center, and the fields draw families out all summer. The neighborhoods that ring it, from the older streets near Donk Avenue to the newer subdivisions off Vadalabene Drive, are full of homes where people already spend their time outside. A concrete patio just brings that same idea into the backyard.
We install concrete patios throughout Maryville, and we build them for how these yards actually get used — grilling, seating, a fire pit, a spot that stays usable after a rain instead of turning into a mud pit.
What Backyards near Drost Park Are Like
Newer subdivisions on fill. A lot of the homes built out around Drost Park in the last couple of decades sit on graded fill. Fill that wasn't compacted well keeps settling for years, and a patio poured on top of it cracks and sinks with it. We check what we're pouring on and compact the base properly before any concrete goes down.
Gentle grades that still move water. These yards aren't steep, but they're not dead flat either — and the low side often runs toward the creek and lake system that feeds Drost Park's lake. We set the patio to pitch water away from the house and off the slab, so you're not standing in a puddle every time it rains.
Room to actually build something. Backyards in the Maryville subdivisions tend to be generous. That's a good problem — it means we can lay out a patio sized for real outdoor living instead of squeezing a slab against the foundation.
Broom or stamped, your call. For a lot of Maryville homeowners a clean broom finish is exactly right — durable, non-slip, and priced sensibly. If you want more, we also pour stamped and colored patios that read like stone or brick. We'll walk you through both before you decide.
One Crew, Start to Finish
The "Truck Service" in our name is real — we own our trucks and excavation equipment. On a Maryville patio that means one crew handles everything: grading and compacting the base, setting the forms, pouring, and finishing. If there's an old cracked slab or a tangle of pavers to pull out first, we tear it out and haul it off ourselves. No subcontractors, no waiting on an outside hauler to clear the yard before we can start.
Our Process
1. Free on-site estimate. We come out, look at the yard, check the grade, the drainage, and what the ground is like under it, and measure. You get a written price before any work starts.
2. Tear-out and haul-away. If there's old concrete or pavers to remove, we clear them with our own crew and trucks.
3. Base prep and grading. We grade and compact the sub-base and set the slope to move water away from the house.
4. Forming and reinforcement. Forms and reinforcement go in, sized to the patio layout you want.
5. Pour and finish. We pour and finish — broom, stamped, or colored — timed to the weather.
6. Curing. We tell you exactly how long to stay off it before you put furniture and traffic on it.
